COMPARISON OF N-ACETYLENE CYSTEINE AND RESVERATROL TREATMENTS IN ACETAMINOPHEN TOXICITY MODEL IN RABBITS

Purpose: Acetaminophen is safe drug but it may cause hepatic failure in high doses. N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) used treatment of acetaminophen intoxication. Resveratrol be experimental intoxication models. Purpose, compare the efficacy NAC and resveratrol treatments intoxication.
 Materials Methods: We 34 rabbits. 6 rabbits were included control group 7 enrolled other groups APAP group, animals administered 2 g/kg by orogastric tube. + 150 mg/kg was intramusculer (i.m) to at 1st hour following administration RES received 100 tube oral i.m ALT, AST, GSH levels measured. Animals sacrificed 24th Liver samples obtained for histopathological examination.
 Results: According our results, level 12th significantly different between (p = 0.007). In examination, HSCORE we apoptosis statistically lower than Its supports that toxicity triggers liver cells.
 Conclusion: Our results support option toxicity.
